Andis Kaulins as a manager in the pharmaceutical business 1982 - 1994  In the picture above, I am the 3rd from the left. Having done a great deal of academic work in previous years, it was necessary to get into the world of business in order to develop and utilize other talents and skills and to be a normal breadwinner in the mainstream of normal life, which I enjoyed very much for well over a decade. Pharmaceutical consulting work involved a great deal of travel, many seminars and hotels, a tremendous amount of day-to-day contact with people and in short, a large amount of dynamic human communication, which is the essence of any good business. This was a very mobile period in my life and I especially had to learn teamwork and leadership skills which proved essential in those and subsequent years.
